The Colón Theater in Bogotá is one of the most emblematic cultural venues in Colombia. It was built between 1885 and 1895 by the Italian architect Pietro Cantini and since then it has been a benchmark both for its neoclassical architecture and for the style that characterizes it. With 129 years of history, the Colón Theater has established itself as the main production center for the representative and musical arts in the country.

The Colón Theater’s main objective is to program, produce and perform musical and performing arts acts and shows, having a structure that contributes to the strengthening of the processes of creation, training, appropriation and circulation of shows at a national and international level, ensuring for the protection of the cultural heritage of the performing arts and associated trades, and the promotion of cultural activities in theatrical settings.
